ST Engineering manpack terminals provide high reliability and flexibility for operations in harsh environments. Compact and lightweight, the terminals are suited for use in locations where there is no fixed communications infrastructure and where access by vehicles is limited. Designed to be man-portable and quick to deploy, the terminals are ideal for special operations and secure military communications, disaster recovery, emergency services and remote enterprise applications such as mining.

Most of our BUCs feature standard plus extended Ku-band uplink range, covering 13.75 – 14.5 GHz contiguously, and exploit custom-designed components and advanced manufacturing techniques. The reduction in weight and wind-loading means that low-cost lightweight ‘Class I’ antennas may be used with BUCs to 4W.
